The Sun has posted an article about my request for documents in the Koenig police misconduct case. The article is pretty accurate about the Bainbridge Police Guild’s lawsuit against me to prevent the release of the documents. You can read my post about the records request here.
All those in favor of the Sun requesting the records and reporting what’s in them, say Aye. This is a job for the guys who get paid for it…

Althea — no arguement from me that both the Sun and the Review have been AWOL (absent without official leave) from their responsibility to cover the news. The fact that a local blogger can scoop the sleeping local MSM is another story that the Sun will not touch.
The mantra of the local press is SEE NO EVIL, SAY NO EVIL, SPEAK NO EVIL of the powers-that-be.
Maybe Tristan can also look into what happened to all the blogs supporting Koenig, and the ones calling for fair and balanced reporting from his newspaper. Why were they removed from his newspapers web site, as well as those blogs relating other accounts of misuse of authority involving officer Cain and other BI police officers?
This is a chance to do some reporting Tristan. Get the records, use Tim Ford in the Attorney General’s office to facilitate your request for public documents since the BI police are notorious for denying access based on misstating laws on a regular basis. Then maybe you can also do a follow up story on why citizens can not access records at BI police station through regular requests without involving legal 3rd party assistance.
The P-I has picked the story up too…through the Associated Press, no less:
Read it here.
How is it that bright, inquisitive, UNPAID Island women can scoop the MSM over and over. If you need contributions for your legal fund just let us know where to drop off contributions.
BTW thanks for a vivid police state dream the other night. This sort of police BS is way out of line, blue or otherwise.
